A
feature in Teignbridge District Council's quarterly news magasine on
a new fire prevention sprinkler system
Martin Developments has taken a leading initiative with regard to fire prevention
in the home. All new homes are to be fitted with a domestic sprinkler system.
As such we are the first in the South West region that has been acknowledged
by South West Water. The company considers this to be the way forward in preventing
the spread of fire in the home and have introduced this as standard in its internal
specification.
Current feedback on Domestic Sprinklers from the United States of America where
they are more commonplace show on statistics provided by The Residential Sprinkler
Association that "In the states where they are mandatory, fire deaths in
the home have been eradicated."
